Every destination became part of our story—and every audience helped shape what came next.
The 1980s — Where It Began
Before the international tours, corporate stages and theatrical productions, there was a small group of artists creating street theatre in Vancouver. The decade became an extraordinary period of experimentation—bringing together music, comedy, puppetry, movement, storytelling and visual art.
From All and Everything Theater and Frankie and the Corvettes to an original production of Dracula with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, every new creation added another layer to the company’s artistic identity. In 1990, The Pink Flamingos took flight—beginning the next great chapter of the journey.

The 1990s — The Pink Flamingos Take Flight
What began in the late 1980s quickly grew into an internationally touring show band. Throughout the 1990s, The Pink Flamingos brought their joyful mix of live music, comedy, choreography and audience participation to corporate celebrations, conventions and special events across North America and around the world.
The troupe became known for creating more than a performance—customizing each experience around the people, place and purpose of the event. The decade also introduced Flamingo Express and, in 1997, Art Explosion, as visual art began taking a more prominent place onstage.
By the end of the decade, the company had entertained Fortune 500 audiences and performed during the 1998 World Cup festivities in Paris—setting the stage for even bigger creative adventures to come.
The 2000s — Music, Art & a Bigger Stage
The new millennium brought together two powerful creative paths. The Pink Flamingos continued traveling the world, bringing live music, humor, choreography and audience participation to corporate celebrations, resorts and extraordinary private events.
At the same time, performance painting grew from a creative experiment into a thrilling new form of entertainment. Art Explosion expanded, and The 3 Painters transformed blank canvases into enormous portraits before live audiences—combining music, movement, suspense and visual art.
These worlds often overlapped, giving Celebrity Enterprises an increasingly versatile creative vocabulary. The company could provide an unforgettable full-evening celebration, a dramatic artistic reveal, or create an entirely customized experience around a client’s story.
Among the decade’s unforgettable adventures was a private performance for Sir Richard Branson on Necker Island in 2008—another remarkable stop in a journey that continued growing in scale, imagination and reach.
The 2010s — Becoming Artrageous
After decades of creating music, theatre, comedy, dance and live visual art, the company’s many creative threads finally came together in one immersive production. In 2015, that next chapter became Artrageous.
Artrageous combined everything the troupe had learned along the way: live music, action painting, choreography, comedy, storytelling, audience participation and the belief that the spotlight is meant to be shared. It wasn’t simply a new act—it was the culmination of a lifetime spent creating together.
Throughout the decade, Artrageous toured theaters and performing arts centers across North America, headlined the Festival Internacional Cervantino in Mexico, created customized experiences for major organizations and professional sports teams, and appeared during NBA All-Star Weekend in 2019.
The decade also deepened the company’s educational and community work. School performances, artist interactions and donated paintings allowed the arts to reach beyond the stage—helping theaters raise funds, welcoming young people into creative spaces and planting the seeds for what would become Artrageous Artreach.
The 2020s — Creativity Without Borders
When stages around the world went dark in 2020, creativity found another way forward. With touring suddenly paused, the troupe created Artrageous Live: Turning Isolation into Inspiration—offering free online performances, art classes, music, movement, games and behind-the-scenes experiences for families at home.
What began as a response to isolation became a reminder that the arts are not confined to a theater. Creativity could still connect people, build community and offer hope—even when audiences and artists were separated by thousands of miles.
The decade also brought a deeper commitment to education and service through Artrageous Artreach. Camps, school programs, residencies and community partnerships created opportunities for young people, seniors, veterans and underserved communities to participate in the arts—not simply observe them.
As live performance returned, Artrageous entered an exciting new era of extended residencies and immersive community engagement, including performances and educational experiences across the country, a 2026 residency at Dollywood, and a Cincinnati mini-residency blending theater, public art, celebration and community connection.
More than four decades after the journey began, the forms continue to evolve—but the purpose remains the same: to bring people together, awaken creativity and leave every community a little more connected than we found it.
