He asked for it! Richard Rose CEO of VeganRella, listed as one the fastest growing companies in the Inc 500, spent a month on the tour bus with The Pink Flamingos. Mr. Rose got a firsthand account of life on the road: playing guitar on stage, sleeping in a bus bunk, pulling all night “shotgun” shifts through the Heartland, playing basketball at an exec’s house (client of The Pinks), and wondering (we assume) why he fit in so well with such a bunch of misfits.

A wild time was had by all at the annual fundraiser for the San Diego Zoo, the premiere black tie event of Southern California. CE created a custom production based on their theme of “40s Night Club.” Imagine this: a white baby grand center stage, Eric Doney (the musical director for all of Bob Hope’s TV specials) on keys, Vicki Doney (sang with the likes of Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Dean Martin, Kenny Loggins, and Lou Rawls) on vocals, Ric Henry (Original lead from the West Coast touring production of Phantom of the Opera), Ashley King (singer/ dancer extraordinaire, Hammer),The Pink Flamingos with an expanded horn section. Back in Time…

In the summer of 2007, The Pinks returned to Colonial Williamsburg nearly ten years after they first performed there. It is still one of the most fascinating historical areas in the US…
Another historical site—Mackinaw Island and the resort where “Somewhere in Time” starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour was filmed—proved to be one of the most memorable adventures for The Pinks. No cars or trucks are allowed on the island; as a result The Pinks’ truck-full of gear had to be unloaded, while still on a chartered fairy, directly into four horse-drawn carriages. It had to happen right before dawn, as the show was at noon, and the band members rode on top of the gear through the misty morning of a colonial town, through huge oaks and up to one of the most majestic resorts of its kind in the world. Truly unforgettable.
